The purpose of Black America Rising is to present an alternative to the civil rights movement and the Black Lives Matter movement as paths to our prosperity and equality here in America. It is my belief that neither of these organizations or movements effectively address the continued marginalization and disenfranchisement of the majority of African Americans.
The goal is to create a National Organization with a National Agenda formulated and implemented by us, the descendants of enslaved Africans in America. This is not a call for separation from other races or ethnic groups. On the contrary, it’s about the descendants of enslaved Africans understanding their true history, it’s about setting our own agenda in regard to overcoming our challenges and improving our quality of life here in America.
Each episode of the Black America Rising Podcast is like a piece of a puzzle which, when viewed as a whole, will make an irrefutable case for the creation of a national organization to address the issues and concerns of Black Americans. We understand the past, but are focused on the future!
The proliferation of the view that the Black community is impotent and inept only exacerbates the problem. The promulgation of this negative view without providing any hope of dealing with these issues, leads people to become increasingly agitated, angry, and belligerent, which leads to, although unproductive, violent outrage.
So, what is the answer? How are we gonna fix this?
It is my intention to use this website and the Black America Rising Podcast to make an irrefutable case for the formation of a national organization with a national agenda, formulated and executed by us, the descendants of enslaved Africans in the United States of America. The case for a national organization will be made with the support of historical facts, logic, reason, and my own personal experiences and understanding of our country the United States of America and our history on continent of Africa.
